If you’ve had enough of the center and the large crowds and archeological sights, this tour is exactly what you need. This tour is created for people who want to dive deeper and explore a different side of Athens and for people who just want a small break from the hectic city center and love cycling.
Athens might not have bike lanes in the center yet but it does have a surprisingly beautiful bike path that takes us from the center and leads uninterrupted, straight to the sea. And it does that by going through some beautiful residential areas and some amazing locations.
There is an option of an early morning tour or an afternoon sunset tour. Both are beautiful in their own way. Choose what suits you.

Things you’ll see
The distance we’ll cover could be anything from 12km up to 20km (8-13 miles) varies from group to group as it has to do with a lot of factors as the experience of the group, the size of it, the time of the year or our preferences. But in general here’s a list of the many possible things we could encounter along the way.
- Prosfygika (A neighborhood with 100 year old houses built by Greek War-Refugees in 1922)
- Niarchos Cultural Center (National Library + National Opera House)
- An exact-size replica of a ancient Warship called Trieres
- A WWII Warship turned into a museum
- A marina of luxurious yachts
- A beautiful seafront
- Beaches(yes there’s beaches in Athens)

- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Additional Info
- If you go private or if the whole group agrees, you should know that we do have option to either go for a quick swim or have an extended coffee break mid-tour, so keep that in mind.
- This tour could be up to 20km so we would recommend at least some experience in cycling. We wouldn’t call this a difficult by any means and even though on the way back there are some slightly uphill bits, the elevation gain is minimal and with the addition of some small water breaks it is very manageable. By choosing private you have the option of deciding if you want to go for a quick swim or just spend more time enjoying a coffee while exploring the Cultural Center.
It also gives us the option to decide on the spot about how fast or slow the tour should move or what places you’d like to skip.
This is clearly the safest cycling experience you could have in Athens as a family. The bike path is clear and wide and if your kid can handle the distance(which is also customisable) they’ll manage it without a problem. We do have a policy to not allow children below 12 years old to cycle but if you really vouch for your kid’s abilities, just Contact Us and let us know.
We, as a company and as people are all for sustainability. We do believe that lithium batteries are not necessary have fun and cycling is and should be something all of us should do. People of all ages have done it and experienced Athens in a grounded, slightly slower manner while getting some light exercise as well. Reducing your carbon footprint is easier and more fun than you think, trust us on this one.

We rode during a really hot spell- Dimitriois was a great and conscientious guide, pointing out interesting sites of interest that you wouldn’t pick up as a tourist normally. After riding back from the beach we had some lovely mezze and chat about history of athens with the Acropolis in the background. Highly recommended!

This was a very enjoyable and safe tour by bicycle, mostly along a bike path. Our guide was excellent and pointed out numerous interesting sights and we always felt safe and never rushed. Bikes were in A1 shape and were thoroughly checked out by the guide before our departure. The snacks at the, in the owner's flat, with a great view of the Parthenon, was icing on the cake. Highly recommend this tour.

Now that’s how to rock and Roll in Athens ☺️ fabulous morning spent with Kostas exploring the almost deserted cycle path that leads from the city to the coast. The whole experience was super easy, safe, fun, tailored to whatever I needed (lots of shadow breaks) ???? and fabulous insightful conversation. We started and ended on a private balcony where Dimos served a superb traditional Greek snack with the view of the Acropolis in the background. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to see a bit more in a fun way. Thank you so much ☺️

We liked a lot this experience. The guide and the bikes were perfect. The experience is very interesting because you see other beautiful parts of Athens, which are difficult to visit if it’s not like this. Super recommendable!

You definitely want to do this bike tour. It was an incredible experience for my whole family! Demos and Kostas are both wonderful people, so friendly, and Demos is a wealth of knowledge about Athens so he kept us informed and entertained and Kostas made us feel very safe. We took the tour to the sea and my daughters were able to swim for a bit; a welcomed way to cool off after biking for a couple hours! We had a very small group which was wonderful, in comparison to the giant tour groups we all saw riding, which honestly looked terrible to us. Afterward Demos had prepared delicious refreshments for us to eat and drink while overlooking the Parthenon... a magnificent way to end an exceptional day!!
